- December 18, 2023 - December 20, 2023
The initiative Women in Mathematics of South-Eastern Europe, aiming at promoting the role of female mathematicians, started in Dec 2020, when the inaugural conference took place. A special distinguished guest of the inaugural conference was prof. Mina Teicher from the Department of Mathematics and Gonda Brain Research Center, Bar-Ilan University, Israel, Director of Emmy Noether Institute for Mathematics. Prof. Mina Teicher is leading a multi-year programme on “Advancing Women in Mathematics across the Americas” in the Miami University.
- December 11, 2023 - December 16, 2023
The event is jointly organized by the Institute of the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas (IMSA) at the University of Miami and the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS-Sofia) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia. The conference will be held at the UM campus. The goal of this conference is to celebrate the impact of half a century of Hitchin's mathematics. New geometric structures emerging from the Hitchin School.
- August 14, 2023 - August 18, 2023
In recent months o-minimal structures have become a powerful tool in Hodge theory. The conference “Generalized and Symplectic Geometry” will serve as a step consolidating the use of o-minimal structure in non Kaehler geometry. Many different approaches to generalized geometries - from logic to Homological Mirror Symmetry will be discussed. The conference will be an excellent opportunity for researchers and students to learn about the latest developments in these fields and to meet and interact with leading experts from around the world.
- August 9, 2023 - August 11, 2023
The workshop “Recent developments in Hodge theory” will cover many recently obtained results from classical Hodge theory and singularity theory to non commutative geometry and stability conditions. The event will consist of series of lectures in a new cutting edge area in modern Mathematics. It will give an excellent opportunity to researchers and students to meet and interact with leading experts in Hodge theory.
- July 12, 2023 - July 14, 2023
This workshop will gather about 15 researchers around a central theme of the geometric properties of various distances and metric of domains in C^n (squeezing function, Gromov hyperbolicity, visibility of geodesics) as well as related subjects.
- July 10, 2023 - July 14, 2023
The workshop Hausdorff Geometry of Polynomials is devoted to the study of properties of polynomial functions such as their zeros and their growth, along with asymptotic properties of sequences of polynomials and their applications in many areas of mathematics, mathematical physics, and probability theory. The works presented honor the memory of Academician Blagovest Sendov who has made substantial contributions to the subject.
- July 3, 2023 - July 7, 2023
The aim of the series of workshops is to bring together people that are interested in stability of optimization problems in a broad sense. In particular, the organizers want to attract young researchers to that area.
- May 28, 2023 - May 31, 2023
The workshop will bring together leading experts from the fields of Sphere packings, sphere coverings and spherical codes to present new results and developments, open problems and new directions. Eight invited lectures will be given in the morning sessions. The afternoon sessions will be devoted to contributed talks.
- May 1, 2023 - May 5, 2023
The event is jointly organized by the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS-Sofia) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia, and the Institute for the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas (IMSA) at the University of Miami. The conference will be held at the UM campus.
- March 27, 2023 - March 29, 2023
The workshop Recent developments in stochastic processes gathers together renowned experts from different contemporary research topics within the field with the aim to present and promote them to the scientific and educational communities in Bulgaria and in this way to increase the interest of students and young scientists in probability theory.
- December 8, 2022 - December 9, 2022
The initiative Women in Mathematics of South-Eastern Europe, aiming at promoting the role of female mathematicians, started in Dec 2020, when the inaugural conference took place. The main goal of these conferences is to celebrate women in Mathematics, to disseminate new results and create new long-term collaborations among scientists in South-Eastern Europe.
